At our July 13, 2020 meeting, the town board voted to pull out of the Dunn Co. Solid Waste and Recycling Program and provide curbside pickup to all households. This decision immediately followed the public informational meeting referenced on the Solid Waste and Recycling postcards sent out to all households in June.

We were recently informed that the County will stop accepting garbage and recyclables at all of their sites starting January 1, 2021 because 12 municipalities have pulled out of the program. If the County continued solid waste and recycling program and we stayed in, each town household would have had to pay $329.15 per year.

Beginning January 1, 2021, we will provide curbside pickup services to our residents at approximately $230.00 per year (garbage pickup once per week, and single-stream recyclables pickup once per month – 96 gallon containers for each).

Further information will be provided to residents by October 1, 2020, including how/where to dispose of non-recyclable/non-mandated items.
